What time should my trash be ready for pick up?

All trash must be ready for pick up by 7am.  No exceptions.  Though the truck might arrive at your house between 8am and 4pm on average, this might not happen every week due to inclement weather, road construction, and other factors which might cause a variation in the schedule.  The route and special pickups will be scheduled in the most cost effective manner which may alter weekly schedules.

How should be trash be prepared?

All trash should be put in trash bags, tied and placed in barrels or provided tote at the end of your driveway.   Lids help keep trash in place away from the elements and animals.  Please notify us if your trash bags are heavier than 50 lbs.

How should my recycling be prepared?

Single stream recycling allows my recyclables to be placed into a single container at your site.  These materials are picked up by our truck and taken to a facility which separates and recycles all of the materials.  This manner of recycling saves both fuel and manpower by not having to handle and transport all of the materials separately.  Single stream recycling accepts paper, cardboard, glass bottles, tin and aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and jugs.  Containers allowed for recycling are 2 of 18 gallons each or 1 no bigger than 64 gallons.

WE DO NOT RECYCLE THE FOLLOWING:  We do not recycle the following items which should be put with your regular trash: cardboard Quaker Oats containers with plastic or metal rims, cardboard milk and juice containers with plastic spouts, plastic food containers such as cottage cheese, butter, and pie containers, bottles with olive oil and salad dressing still in them, pizza boxes because of grease, 3 ring binders or notebooks with wire binders, cereal or other cardboard boxes not flattened, loose boxes and paper, used napkins and toilet paper, coffee cups, and styrofoam.

NOT ALLOWED IN CURBSIDE TRASH:  We do not accept hazardous waste of any type including, but not limited to asbestos, medical waste or sharps, fuels and oil, paint, mercury, and animal carcasses.

THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL FEE FOR:  There is an additional fee for the pick up of computer monitors, tvs, circuit boards, computers, car and household batteries, yard waste, demolition or construction materials, and tires. (In accordance with state law, certain items must be recycled by an approved company to ensure the lead, mercury, cadmium etc. that are in many of these products is handled properly.)  Please see price list for bulky items.  or contact us via telephone at (978) 424-3109 or use this contact form..

Why wasn’t my trash/recycling picked up?

If it appears that some trash or recycling was picked up and not others, it may be that it wasn’t prepared properly for disposal.  Any items over 50 lbs. with prior notification, water or ice filled barrels etc. may be refused at the discretion of the driver.  In the rare instance we missed your pickup, please call us immediately so we can remedy the situation.  If your account is 60 days past due, services will not be provided  Please contact us with questions at (978) 424-3109 or use this contact form..
